Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is an adventure role-playing video game and the ninth mainline entry of the Like a Dragon series. This direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2020) and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (2023) was developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA in January 2024.

From Japan to Hawaii

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth follows the story of the new protagonist introduced to the Yakuza series in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Ichiban Kasuga, as well as the original protagonist of Yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu. The game takes place in Japan and in the franchise’s first-ever overseas location - the picturesque Hawaii island. Join Ichiban, Kazuma and their parties in their dangerous journey!

The Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth video game is a single-player action-adventure JRPG with story-rich gameplay full of both emotional and comedic elements. The game features exciting turn-based combat, now called the Live Command RPG Battle System, making it an unusual entry in the JRPG genre and an improved Like a Dragon experience perfect for every Yakuza series enthusiast and new players alike.

Live Command RPG Battle System received a huge improvement compared to the previous instalments of the series, with every character having the ability to move freely during the combat sequences. The change results in various additional opportunities to strike powerful attacks using the elements of the environment, use skills on more than one party member, and more. It’s worth noting though that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth features a Smackdown mode, in which skipping fights against weaker enemies is possible in exchange for reduced rewards.
