Gameplay Mechanics

In World of Warcraft, the adventure starts with creating a character. Players must choose one side of the conflict, Horde or the Alliance, race, and class. After that, we can customize our new hero using a variety of customization options. The action in the game is presented from the third-person perspective. During the gameplay, players will travel through an unbelievably huge and diversified world, exploring a variety of different places.

With progress, players will gain experience points – after collecting a certain amount of them, their character will level up, unlocking access to new, more powerful abilities. At this point, players can explore dangerous dungeons, take part in exciting end-game raids ending up with defeating powerful bosses, etc. Besides exciting PvE (Player versus Environment) experience, World of Warcraft offers challenging and expanded PvP (Player versus Player) – those who look for some competitive challenge, can participate in duels, battles on arenas, or huge battlegrounds.

World of Warcraft: Classic

The action of the game takes place a few years after the events presented in Warcraft III. The world of Azeroth is troubled by a crippling war. Races inhabiting the realm decided to form two sides of the conflict – Humans, Dwarfs, Night Elves, and Gnomes became the members of the Alliance, while Orcs, Trolls, Taurens, and the Undead formed the Horde. To make matters worse, the whole Azeroth is endangered by the threat much older, and more dangerous than any war has ever been.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade 

The expansion introduces 2 new races – Draenei, who joined the Alliance, and Blood Elves to enforce the mighty Horde. Inhabitants of Azeroth are healing wounds after the devastating war which resulted in defeating the Burning Legion at the foot of Mount Hyjal. Members of both, Horde and the Alliance began to explore the world, searching for new lands. They discovered a mysterious Dark Portal which leads them to the realm known as the Outland, ruled by powerful Illidan Stormrage.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

Arthas Menethil, once righteous Paladin, became the powerful Lich King, ruling the realm called Northrend. Races of Azeroth realized that he cannot be defeated neither by the Alliance nor the Horde. They decided to join forces and formed a military campaign aimed to dethrone Arthas, put an end to his dreadful reigns, and free the people of Northrend.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm

The powerful and fearsome dragon known as Deathwing has been awakened by the mysterious power of the Old Gods. Released from his ancient, underground prison, he triggered tsunamis, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, and other cataclysms. His rage and fury destroyed many lands of Azeroth, changing the whole world beyond recognition. Forces of the Horde and the Alliance must once again save their homes, and embark on an extremely dangerous quest.

World of Warcraft: Mist of Pandaria

The expansion focuses on introducing a new race known as the Pandarens, and their homeland – Pandaria. The action takes place after defeating Deathwing – an ancient dragon who not so long ago destroyed almost half of the Azeroth. Now, for some unknown reasons, the land of mysterious Pandarens revealed itself to the world, and they are forced to choose one side of the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance.

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor

The action of the expansion is set after the events presented in Mist of Pandaria and gives players a chance to learn more about the past of legendary Warcraft characters, such as Gul’dan, Grommash Hellscream, or Blackhand. It takes place in the world of Draenor, the place where the race of Orcs came to be.

World of Warcraft: Legion

Approximately two years after the events of Warlords of Draenor, the expansion takes players to Broken Isles – a group of smaller islands located in the center of the Great Sea, called the Maelstrom. Broken Isles became the sanctuary for Gul’dan, who escaped the world of Draenor. The warlock opened the mysterious portal hidden inside the Tomb of Sargeras and summoned armies of demons to Azeroth. The world is on a brink of the second Burning Legion invasion.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth

The world of Azeroth is getting up of its knees after the recent Burning Legion invasion. To make matters worse, the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance is getting more serious, and the trust that the two groups have built in the face of greater dangers begun to faint. One of the reasons for the conflict is the newfound, miraculous mineral called Azerite.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

After defeating the Lich King, the Banshee Queen, Sylvanas destroyed the wall separating the world of the living from the world of the dead. Heroes embark on a journey to the mysterious realm called Shadowlands, to save the souls of the mightiest characters of the universe, and discover secrets that can destroy the entire world.
