Over the genre’s long and bountiful existence the community has always tried to find a way to categorize games into neat drawers with little or no overlap. It was, of course, an endeavor destined to fail, which makes choosing a new game based on genre really difficult.

To alleviate some of this headache we prepared a short quiz to help you find your next favorite genre based on a few clear-cut criteria. There are always exceptions, but we can get you in the ballpark!

Quiz Rules:
