Do you remember Undertale? We’ve written about it before, as did many other websites.

At the time it was quite a hit, despite its potentially discouraging appearance (read: it wasn’t 4K with HDR). But these times are over, Undertale has been mostly fondly remembered, but not broadly talked about for a while now. Until yesterday and today, that is.

The game’s Twitter account sparked into life recently, to tease us with a… something. See for yourself.

…and a bunch more, which in general remind me of some kind of creepypasta. You can read them all on the profile, just click the uhm… censor box above the @UnderTale. Creepy stuff. Eventually it had a favour to ask:

Und people did, only to discover that a new game, called Deltarune (itself an anagram of “undertale”) has been released and is available for free. What is it about? Why is it creepy? Who knows. Does it tease Undertale 2? Don’t ask me. People are still figuring this out at the moment of writing this piece.

Either way, we got something spoopy for this Halloween that isn’t gore or open world adventures, so that’s a win!

There are several warning the game issues before you even get to get it.

* THERE MAY BE MOVING OR FLASHING IMAGERY.

* YOU MAY HAVE TO OVERRIDE SECURITY PROTOCOLS TO USE THE PROGRAM.

* FOR PUBLIC SAFETY, YOU ARE ADVISED TO REFRAIN FROM DISCUSSION OF THE PROGRAM FOR 24 HOURS.

* YOU ACCEPT EVERYTHING THAT WILL HAPPEN FROM NOW ON.

Spooky, and sounds like an induction into a cult. If you fancy taking a look yourself, head through to deltarune.com to get the game and see what it’s about.

Just be brave, the pixels can smell your fear, and without anti-aliasing to reign them in they might bite and turn you into their minion!
