That’s a big change in comparison with the first game, which offered four expansions.

While it was expected because of the reveal of the most pricy editions of Star Wars Battlefront II that didn’t include a Season Pass, it was later confirmed during the EA Play conference that all post-launch content for the game will be free, and that includes new maps.

Star Wars Battlefront II is set to release on November 17th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If you preorder the Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition, you will be able to start playing on November 14th, and subscribers of EA Access and/or Origin Access will be able to play 10 hours on their respective platforms on November 9th.

After that players can expect regular updates with new characters, events, quests, challenges and maps. There’s a Seasons feature that starts in December with content from Star Wars: The Last Jedi, that will add Finn, Captain Phasma, a new planet Crait and other elements. All of that is confirmed as free.

And as there are Star Cards with various rarities (Common, Uncommon, Rare and Epic), we expect Star Wars Battlefront II to include booster packs / loot boxes / however it will be named, offered through microtransactions as well. If you are okay with that, there are some new gameplay videos embedded below:
