The original, 1999 PC game Outcast was sure something. Released at that time it was a rare example of a genre, that would dominate the video game landscape years later, an open world adventure game with shooting, fighting, talking and fetch quests.
In short, it was simply stunning. Multiple worlds populated by aliens going on about their own business, freedom to roam the environment, solid shooting and stealth as well as the option to ride a mount – Outcast was way ahead of its times.

The new version of Outcast will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Fall 2017. The release was pushed from March 2017.
