Red Dead Redemption 2 is a follow-up to Red Dead Redemption, a game welcomed very warmly by both critics and gamers. RDR has achieved cult status since its release in 2010, despite coming only to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The exact placement of Red Dead Redemption 2’s storyline is unclear at this moment, so it is unknown whether it is a sequel, prequel, or maybe a story running parallel to John Marston’s, the world-weary protagonist of the previous game.
The game is set for release in the Fall of 2017, and the official synopsis currently available on the Rockstar Games website reads as follows:
“Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience”.
The first trailer for the game arrives on Thursday, October 20, 2016, and maybe will reveal the identities of seven silhouettes from the teaser image.
The game is confirmed for release on PlayStation and Xbox. The PC version hasn’t been mentioned yet.
