Rocket jump onto Steam.
Bethesda announced that Quake Champions will go out of the closed beta phase next week and enter early access on Steam and the company’s own platform next week.
The game will get an update as well and all players coming in now will have access to news skins, including one inspired by Doom, two new maps, rune challenges, lore system, new customization options, and in-game voice chat.
The move also means that users will need to pay for the game – $29,99 – which, apart from the game, will get you some extra vanity items. A free-to-play version of the game will arrive later.
The game goes into early access on August 22.
