Playerunknown's Batllegrounds desert map is huge

The map will, thankfully, be a lovely and large piece of land.

There were talks that the new desert locale for Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds will be a smaller affair than the existing Erangel map. Thought to be only 4×4 km it now appears it’s not true at all.

In a talk with Eurogamer, the game’s creator confirmed that it will be 8×8 km.

“For 100 players an 8×8 just makes more sense and it gives more flexibility when we move onto custom games and things like that.”
