Players disappointed with Battlefront 2 hero unlocks

It’s a grind. And not the fun kind either.

According to Reddit users it takes about 40 hours to be ble to unlock a some heroes in Star Wars: Battlefront 2.

That’s how long it takes to grind out the 60,000 points needed to purchase i.e. Darth Vader. Fans are enraged at this fact saying that it’s a move to draw them into buying loot boxes within the game.

EA responded with a statement that getting such rewards within a game must be paired with a sense of accomplishment hence the hefty price tag of in-game purchases.

“We had one progression system in the closed alpha and heard your feedback back then. We made another iteration for the open beta and heard your feedback then too. For launch, we’re having another iteration and there will definitely be more iterations as we evolve this game post launch.”
