The sequel to the stunning rpg success that was the original Pillars of Eternity by Obsidian, is ready to launch.
Oh it’s coming alright. Now I never got into Pillars of Eternity 1, but that’s just because I’m personally not very much into the classic, isometric RPG, but the number of hours I’ve put into original Spellforce shows me to be a bit of hypocrite on this one. Even someone such as myself will find it hard not to check this one out.
Now what can we expect from Pillars of Eternity 2? The short answer is a lot. The longer answer is: everything that made Pillars of Eternity 1 great. The even longer answer is: tactical combat with huge use of environments, great depth of character customization and of course, a looong, gripping narrative where you’ll be able to express your own views and where your choices will have a meaningful impact on the story.
We already have the line-up for the upcoming DLCs for Pillars of Eternity 2 as well. All that coupled with improvements in graphics, AI, the UI etc. makes Pillars of Eternity 2 a very, very difficult pass.
