You’ll be able to shoot each other in the face without any special agenda.

Blizzard’s Overwatch from its inception has been a game about cooperation and complementation of special abilities. It is now, however, getting a free-for-all deathmatch mode where it’s every player for themselves.

Jeff Kaplan, from the game development team, announced that deathmatch will be part of the Arcade which is a fitting place for it.

“The coolest part of the Arcade is that it’s opened up our ability to as developers to introduce game modes to you guys that we wouldn’t normally feel comfortable putting in the quick-play or competitive rotation.”

There will also be a team deathmatch for teams of six fighting to get a score of 30, where reviving abilities will make the kill counter go down.

Overwatch is out now on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
