Overwatch on consoles is getting a report button

Well, all you nasty guys are going to get it.

Overwatch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is getting a much asked for feature that has been missing since launch – the report button. The option was always available on PC but somehow never made it to consoles. The functionality will come with the 1.14 patch.

We learned about this from the game’s director Jeff Kaplan, who shared it on official Blizzard forums. The report button will apparently be a part of a bigger update that will also bring us deathmatch.

“Improvements will continue over time. We are working on increased punishments for high-frequency offenders, email notifications when your reports result in disciplinary action (we’re experimenting with this right now and we’ll expand this as we refine it) and eventually notifications in the game client when your report results in disciplinary action.”

The patch does not yet have a release date.
