Things are getting darker still.
Grim Dawn is a very nice Action RPG released some time ago, following a brief revival of the genre thank to the Van Helsing games, perhaps. One way of another, it was a surprisingly fun experience for something called Grim Dawn, and it even lived to see one expansion, Ashes of Malmouth, already. If your days have been too cheerful and you need some way to increase the bloody darkness in your life, don’t worry, because the second expansion, Forgotten Gods is coming alter this year.
To quote the official announcement:
In the Forgotten Gods expansion, you will journey beyond the bounds of the Erulan Empire, traversing burning sands, lush oases and volcanic wastes to reach the sun beaten ruins of a city with secrets that should never have been disturbed. The flames of a forgotten god have been rekindled, sending ripples through the Eldritch realm and sowing terror even among the Witch Gods themselves.
It sounds like fun. Expansions are at their best when they bring not only new gameplay, but also entirely new places, and it seems that Grim Dawn’s developers think the same.
No specific date of release has been given other than “the second half of the year”, but it’s certainly something to watch out for.
