The Like a Dragon series can get pretty nuts, but if you want to go really crazy, you can’t do much better than a game about the Mad Dog of Shimano himself. Goro Majima gets a game all for himself this year, and there’s a demo to let you check just how disconnected from reality he gets.
As announced during the PlayStation’s State of Play on February 12th, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is getting a demo version, starting on February 13th and available on PlayStation, Xbox X/S and Steam.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii (truly an absolute unit of a title) has Goro with a little bout of amnesia, washing up on Hawaii shores, being saved by a friendly local boy, and getting tangled into some mess involving pirates. They are specifically modern day pirates, but that doesn’t stop him from dressing up in a Golden Age of Piracy get-up or slashing people with dual cutlasses.
The demo will let you try his two fighting styles (both of which include some truly Devil May Cry-like over-the-top moves), explore a good chunk of Honolulu and pirate haven Madlantis, and even try ship battles and inevitable karaoke.
Looks like a quite substantial demo and a great way to find out if you’d like to buy the full version of this wild adventure with Like a Dragon’s most hypercaffeinated protagonist.
As for the Dave the Diver colab from the title, that’s pretty straightforward. Ichiban Kasuga, the leading lad of the last two main instalments of the series, gets a story-laden appearance in Dave the Diver through a DLC launching in April. There will be a lot of fighting, including some beat’em-up gameplay and a few minigames, because you can’t not-have minigames when LaD is involved.
There’s even a trailer, and a pretty comprehensive blog post (https://blog.playstation.com/2025/02/12/dave-the-diver-x-like-a-dragon-crossover-announced/), if you’d like to read more.
