After the recent changes in Take Two’s policies, it won’t be possible to launch the mod.

If you follow the changes in the modding community for Grand Theft Auto V, you know that for a moment legal proceedings basically stopped development for all mods. After the community riot it was revised and now single-player mods are approved, but anything that touches online features is forbidden.

It was now confirmed by the OpenIV team that the long-awaited Liberty City in GTA V mod won’t be finished. “It clearly contradicts Rockstar modding policy. Liberty City mod is a big loss for us since it was a huge part of our motivation to push OpenIV functionality.,” we read in the official statement.

OpenIV will continue as a tool, but its creators are still in process of deciding its future shape.
