Story campaign requires Internet connection to store our profile etc.

For some time For Honor developers claimed that the single player campaign will be an offline experience. That isn’t the case anymore, it seems. Even though the game’s website stated that Internet isn’t required, there was a rumor concerning this after the release of the box art.

“We can confirm that For Honor is an always online experience. Some elements of progression, which is hosted online, are shared across story and multiplayer modes. Players will need to be connected to the Internet at all times to play For Honor.,” answered Ubisoft’s Community Representative UbiJurassic.

We haven’t become fans of always-on Internet DRM after the release of SimCity and other glorious “always online experiences.” Watch Dogs 2’s underdone multiplayer component doesn’t help either.
