It’s finally time for some solo play.
The new expansion to the Blizzard’s card game is going to have single player adventures. The Battle for Icecrown will be free of charge and consist of a prologue, two wings with three bosses each and the final fight with the Lich King, who is the star of the show.
On your way, you’ll meet a menagerie of opponents from the Lord of the Scourge, through Blood Queen Lana’thel, Professor Putricide, Sindragosa, Deathbringer Saurfang, Lord Marrowgar, and Lady Deathwhisper.
The prologue will give you a legendary hero card and each of the following fights a sealed deck from the new expansion, so you can grab one of the 135 new cards.
We will not get the whole 8 fights when the game is released but just half of that. We’ll have to wait around two weeks for the rest to slowly trickle down to our PCs.
Knights of the Frozen Throne is out on August 10.
