Only players who have preordered Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition will be able to check the first game on XO starting today.
There are various forms of preorder bonuses. Some companies decide to add exclusive skins, maps etc. Meanwhile, 343 Industries decided to give Halo Wars: Definitive Edition to those who preordered the upcoming sequel. There’s a catch: you need to pay for Ultimate Edition – a version containing season pass.
It’s worth mentioning that the full release of Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is set for February and the build released today is an Early Access one. Expect a lot of patching between now and February.
Everyone who preordered Halo Wars 2 before December 14th should receive the code for Halo Wars: Definitive Edition later today.
