In an unexpected move, digital marketplace G2A.COM announced an official partnership with Alison, a source of online education with a rich selection of courses from many different disciplines, ranging from humanities and language to technology and science and many others in-between.

The following press release issued by G2A.COM provides further details and context to the partnership:

G2A.COM & Alison partner up to bring online courses to G2A Marketplace

G2A.COM is teaming up with Alison to provide a new category of digital products on its marketplace – online learning. G2A Marketplace’s over 17 million customers now have access to 1,000 Alison online courses covering a wide range of topics including IT, business management and language skills.

Alison is one of the world’s largest online learning platforms for workplace skills. By partnering with G2A.COM, Alison is introducing its courses to the millions of G2A Marketplace customers that shop on the platform on a daily basis. G2A.COM users now have easy access to digital certificates, with physical and framed certificates for Alison courses to be added soon, directly on the marketplace, with no need to search for online courses elsewhere.

Online courses are the newest addition to G2A.COM’s vast digital catalogue, which already includes games, in-game items, gift cards, software, subscriptions and more. Dorota Wrobel, G2A Marketplace General Manager, explains, “Alison has been a great company to partner with while adding a new category to our marketplace. Merging their digital courses with our marketplace has been seamless. Alison courses expand our value proposition for our users and give them access to even more great digital items all in one place.”

Alison’s Head of Operations, Gerard Madden, further comments on the cooperation: “Partnering with G2A.COM has brought our products to a whole new audience. G2A.COM allows users from around the world to easily purchase our course certificates thanks to G2A PAY, a payment gateway with over 200 global and local payment methods. We want to show the world how easy it is to gain valuable skills right from your home, and this is definitely a step in the right direction.”
