Bluehole decided to celebrate its success by throwing a party. Well, sort of.

In partnership with ESL the company is organizing a tournament at Gamescom this year inviting the top 80 players and influencers of its flagship product, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds.

As Bluehole VP and executive producer Chang Han Kim puts it:

“From very early on we knew that the success of PUBG was reliant on the passion of its community. We want to celebrate this by inviting eighty of the top players from around the world to compete in the first offline Invitational. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how quickly our community has grown, and can’t wait to hear about everyone’s experience this summer.”

The Gamescom PUBG Invitational will feature solo mode, Duo mode, Duo First Person Perspective mode and Squad mode, The four-day tournament’s winner will be selected judging the score from three best games.

Players will be able to purchase vanity items for the game and the proceedings from the sale will go to charities and the prize pool, which stands at 3500,000 $. You can watch via the games’ and the expo’s social channels.
