First expansion for Zelda: Breath of the Wild detailed

We learned what’s coming in the first DLC for the latest The Legend of Zelda.

The Expansion Pass for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild grants you access to two DLC packs. We now learned that the first one will be available this Summer and some contents were already teased.

The first big feature is the Trial of the Sword. It’s a series of around 45 waves of enemies. If you beat them, the “true power of the Master Sword will be awakened, and it will always be in its glowing powered-up state while usable.” But to achieve this you have to beat the whole challenge starting literally with nothing except Link’s panties.

The second feature is the Hero’s Path Mode that lets you track Links adventure – it will draw a line of your steps for the last 200 hours. There’s also a Travel Medallion that lets you set a customized fast travel point. Finally, there’s the Hard Mode and you know what to expect – enemies regain their health and sometimes appear with higher levels or even different rewards.

There are also more customization items being added to the game’s world. That includes eight treasure chests containing armors and masks based on the previous The Legend of Zelda titles. Quite a lot to do!
