Ubisoft revealed the game with a gameplay trailer and some additional introductory videos.

Far Cry 5 will release next year on February 27th, Ubisoft confirmed. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Project Scorpio support was confirmed as well. The leading studio for this title is Ubisoft Montreal.

The game will offer a fresh campaign playable solo or in a two-player co-op. For the first time it is set in America in fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will face a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden’s Gate. Our task is to build the Resistance.

Once again it will be up to gamers on how they want to approach each mission, and they will be able to recruit both human and specialized animal companions. Far Cry 5 will also include a map editor, allowing players to shape the gameplay, offering almost infinite possibilities in the world’s creations.

Below you will find the reveal trailer (based on the actual game’s engine) and some videos that introduce you to the various soon-to-be members of the Resistance.
