Have you heard about Galaxies? No, sadly not the long-defunct Star Wars MMORPG which was too good for this world. The Galaxies gaming showcase, held on April 17th, featured a whole bunch of notable games and oddly enough, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of talk about it!

Or you can stay here, with us, and see each game’s trailer without having to scan the lengthy video.

All the games shown off during the Galaxies gaming showcase.
Runescape Dragonwilds
The showcase started with a narrative trailer for RuneScape Dragonwilds, a survival games based on a classic MMORPG’s world. It’s got magic, dungeons to crawl, monster to slay, houses to build, all the good stuff expected from the genre. The Early Access of it is available now, so if you’d like to start your adventure in Ashenfall now, you absolutely can.
Painkiller
If you’ve been alive and gaming in the 2000s you might remember Painkiller, a Polish rip-roaring shooter sending a grizzled and vengeful man on a murder spree across Hell on a mission from a snooty angel.
It’s been quite a few years since the last we’ve seen of the series, but now it’s coming back under the auspices of 3D Realms and Saber Interactive. Galaxies gave us an sizzle reel of the weapons we’re going to level against demons and undead, complete with their alt fire modes, wouldn’t be a Painkiller game without them.
The new Painkiller game is expected to arrive in the Fall of 2025.
Deliver At All Costs
Deliver At All Costs seems like a spiritual successor to Crazy Taxi in a way. It’s a game about transporting packages to their destination with no consideration for traffic laws nor safety of other entities around you, cars, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. It’s not going to be a very serious game in terms of tone, and it comes with a delightfully destructible world based on the 1950s.
The delivery is expected for May 22, 2025
Lily’s World XD
Not all horror must be based on monsters in the shadows. Sometimes all it takes is the psychological nightmare of investigating a laptop of a young person from the 2000s.
Lily’s World XD will use the premise of glitzy, cheesy 2000s Internet culture and PC aesthetics to tell an increasingly disturbing story which, perhaps appropriately, is reminiscent of creepypasta.
No release date was provided, but it is already wishlistable.
Lou’s Lagoon
Your uncle is missing and you’ve got to keep his plane delivery gig going in the meantime. Not unlike games like My Time at Portia or Stardew Valley, Lou’s Lagoon will have you steadily build your way towards success and become a valuable member or a local community.
Lou’s Lagoon promises all the good stuff: exploration, construction, customizability, with the added fun of getting to engage in a number of aerial activities thanks to your plane.
It is already wishlistable on Steam, and even has a demo.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
This one isn’t really an announcement, but it’s a bit of additional gameplay footage and a quick summary of the core story premise ahead of the next week release.
The Belle Epoque-inspired, star-studded, turn-based RPG looks really intriguing, possibly one of the more interesting Q2 releases in general.
Clair Obscur launches on April 24, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S
Ready or Not
Ready or Not is a SWAT-themed, tactical, first-person shooter which launched on PC in 2023. Why is it here? It’s because it’s coming the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S this summer.
Demonschool
Demonschool is an upcoming tactical RPG about a group of university students pushing back against an outbreak of demons on their island. It features turn-based battles, where movement is the core method of using each character’s abilities on allies, enemies, and objects. Of course, battles are not the only thing to care about, as the characters will have downtime they can spend on developing abilities and/or relationships.
The full release is planned for this summer, but the demo is already available up on Steam.
Castle Craft
The title pretty much said it all. Castle Craft is a game about constructing a self-sufficient fortress and then defending it against enemies. It’s not nearly as serious as the Stronghold series, and thanks to voxel-based graphics you’ll enjoy a very granular construction system before hopping into direct control of your character to lead the defense against upcoming hordes.
Castle Craft launches in Early Access on April 28, 2025.
PowerWash Simulator 2
Fans of the best game about cleaning rejoice, the upcoming sequel got a spotlight during Galaxies with a quickfire interview with the devs embellished with clips from the game.
PowerWash Simulator 2 arrives later this year. How much later? Nobody knows.
LAPD 2195
A modern successor to a 1998’s Future Cop: L.A.P.D. The trailer does a good show of the futuristic world and the motivation for the protagonist. It’s a revival nobody expected, and will have you learn how to pilot a mech, which is always nice.
The future arrives eventually, for now you can wishlist it.
Black Desert
Pearl Abyss didn’t show much of the new dungeon, but it did announce Twitch drops which apparently included a free copy of the game? Sadly, it was only during the showcase.
Windblown
The makers of Dead Cells presented a nice gameplay montage for their celebrating a new update for their Early Access roguelike Windblown. The update introduces a new biome, the eponymous Sanctuary, complete with new challenges, a new boss, extra weapons, and a ton of other stuff.
Beyond Astra
Beyond Astra, the upcoming science-fiction 4X, promises smooth transitions from a grand-strategy scale and a planet-side focus, which is an interesting pitch and the gameplay trailer really makes it look both appealing and interesting. How detailed the 4X mechanics will be remains to be seen, but the Steam page suggest a complexity which should keep 4X fans hooked once the game releases.
The space epic can be wishlisted right now, but no release date beyond “2025” is provided.
Lost Skies
Lost Skies is an open-world survival game about exploring a world which experienced a mysterious calamity which shattered its civilization into explorable ruins, and the map into an archipelago of floating islands. Appropriately, Lost Skies puts as much emphasis on aerial mobility as it does on crafting systems, and you’ll even merge the two thanks to your customizable skyship-base.
The game is out now in Early Access.
Golf Gambit
What if minigolf courses were actively hostile to you? Golf Gambit makes an attempt at answering this question, having you try to score points on stages filled with traps and challenges no real world minigolf place would be able, or allowed, to create.
Golf Gambit is out now n Early Access
Hello Again
Hello Again is a game about being stuck in a time loop on an island with a thriving community and the ruins of a no-longer-thriving civilization. It’s not quite a s serious as The Outer Wilds were, Hello Again’s cartoonish, 2D-aesthetic, fun animations, and largely humorous writing keep the experience almost cozy.
The game is planned for launch later this year.
Electro Bop Boxing League
A rhythm game auto-battler featuring legally distinct, customizable rock’em-sock’em robots? That’s the premise of Electro Bo Boxing League, with an additional generous sprinkling of management sim.
EBBL is out now on Steam.
Hear Tell of Hauntings
Hear Tell of Hauntings will be a survival horror game set in the late 19th century, telling the story of an outlaw-turned-sheriff receiving a mysterious invitation to a wedding of two people long since dead. It will be interesting to see how the horror story meshes with the stylized designs.
The launch is in unspecified future
Sub Verge
A narrative science fiction game about diving into monster-infested depths in a leaking submersible… while having to navigate agendas and alliances of a discordant group of fellow divers. Can you solve the situation before your SubVee floods entirely?
It arrives on May 1, 2025
ASUKA: The Ascent
A racing game on the backdrop of Japanese mountains? Sounds great, and it’s not just because the trailer’s music choice is reminiscent of Déjà vu by Initial D. The game is focused on Asuka, a college student who is inspired by her father’s racing days to get into street racing herself.
Release date is unknown, but you can already wishlist it on Steam.
ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard
If you’re into color-themed puzzles, ChromaGun is getting a sequel! And there’s totally nothing weird or wrong, or lethal going on, not at all.
ChromaGun 2 is set to launch sometime later this year, but its demo is already up and running on Steam.
Vending Dokan! Kozy Kiosk
Did you ever wonder what managing vending machines is like? They don’t manifest their content from thing air. Vending Dokan: Kozy Kiosk lets you run your own vending business, including decorating the locations of your machines to make them more appealing.
No specific release date yet, but the demo is up on Steam.
UNBEATABLE
An anime-inspired game about a world where music is illegal, so now it’s time to do some fun crimes as a girl called Beat. UNBEATABLE will, in the developer’s words, half the time be about “walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours”, probably referring to intense rhythm-based challenges.
Demo is out now
Polterguys: Possession Party
Polterguys is a multiplayer-oriented (with an option to play solo) game about ghosts chased by a ghost-hungry monster. Thankfully, the specters can possess objects for defense, or better yet: sabotaging the opponents so that they get eaten before you do. As one might suspect from the premise, the levels are full of interactive objects to use for various ghostly shenanigans.
Polterguys are having a party as we speak, available on Steam. There’s even a demo!
Neon Abyss 2
The sequel to Neon Abyss brings back the intense, pixel-art roguelike action. With the addition of 4-player co-op, a new Faith system which might make or break a run depending on where you deploy it, and more, Neon Abyss 2 is set to become a very fun ride both solo and with friends.
Neon Abyss launches in Early Access on July 17, 2025
Sintopia
Sintopia is a game about running a soul-purification business in Hell itself, purging souls of sin before they can get reborn in the lands of the living. It’s somewhere between a management sim and a god game, with a not-very-serious tone putting it in a realm similar to the Two-Point series, or Black & White for that matter.
Your sins will be humorously purged later this year.
Empyreal
The upcoming action game Empyreal presented a bunch of gameplay coupled with reactions from various streamers who got to enjoy the game already. Despite being mostly science fiction-themed, Empyreal puts a strong emphasis on melee combat, and while it does the MMORPG floating damage numbers thing, it’s going to be a singleplayer adventure through and through.
The expedition begins on May 8, 2025.
Wraith Ops
A new contender in the military shooter genre? Perhaps. Wraith Ops is an upcoming tactical FPS oriented towards PvP multiplayer. The game’s Steam page talks about a big arsenal of customizable guns, satisfying ballistics, no lootboxes, and more.
WO is wishlistable now, but no release window is known.
Legend of Baboo
They say that a dog is a man’s best friend, and Legend of Baboo will put this to the test. This fantasy action adventure will put you in the role of a young lad with exceptional staff-fighting skills and a loyal fluffy dog who will be of great help many times during their shared journey.
The game is intended for a 2025 release, and can already be wishlisted.
Code Coven games reel
Code Coven presented a bunch of games which didn’t get their own spotlight, spanning various genres and themes.
Monster Prom 4: Monster Con
If you’ve been hungry for more Monster Prom, the fourth installment, Monster Con is coming in two days (at the time of writing). This time the dating sim series is taking things to a nerdy convention, where monsters of all hobbies can mingle and maybe snuggle. Navigate both romance and parasocial relationships!
Monster Prom 4: Monster Con arrives on April 24, 2025.
Tempest Rising
Real-time strategies aren’t having the best time recently, so it’s nice to see Tempest Rising coming up. Set in the aftermath of a nuclear war, this RTS will have you claw your way to resources for your faction and power for yourself. Comparisons to classics like Command & Conquer probably wouldn’t be out of place.
Tempest Rising is live now.
Rivals Hover League
Science-fiction vehicular combat is a strong pitch, and Rivals Hover League seems committed to making it as fun to play as the trailer is to watch. Hop into a variety of cars, including armored transports, and find the one that will be the best companions on a path to debris-scattering victory.
RHL is wishlistable now.
Redacted
A punk-spirited science fiction roguelike with evocative cel-shaded aesthetic. It’s been out for a hot second, but got its proper accolades trailer (featuring a lot of gameplay footage) during Galaxies.
Lynked: Banner of the Spark
Lynked has been out in Early Access for a while as well, but the upbeat action RPG got an nice gameplay trailer during galaxies, showing off fast-paced combat, town-building, various activities and… the release date for the full version.

Bionic Bay
Bionic Bay is a science fiction platforming game with a fun twist of it letting you control gravity by rotating the map around your character, which will interact logically with the physics-based environment. While it is interested in exploration of the alien world, it will also be speedrunning-friendly, and even features leaderboards.
Bionic Bay is out now.
Neighbors: Suburban Warfare
If your HOA has been getting on your nerves, channel your anger into Neighbors: Suburban Warfare, a cartoony, 4v4 game about neighbors just deciding to stop sending passive-aggressive notes and turning to direct violence. It’s very silly and not even a little bit realistic.
Neighbors: Suburban Warfare is out now in Early Access.
Len’s Island
Len’s Island mixes action RPGs with survival, letting you both build a base on a procedurally generated island, and also dive into dungeons for experience and riches. It’s been out in Early Access for a while, but it’s ready to get a full release this summer.
Len’s Island comes out of Early Access on June 19, 2025
Chainstaff
The developers of Chainstaff realized that if there’s anything better than a grappling hook, it’s a grappling hook which can transform into a cool weapon. The new trailer open with great music which evokes memories of the iconic Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers theme, shows off a bunch of gameplay, and even provides a release window.
Chainstaff is planned for Fall 2025, but the demo is available right now.
DeadWire
DeadWire takes undeniable inspiration from Hotline Miami, but it does come with a very fun quirk of its own. You can create links between enemies and objects, which can cascade into a flurry of mayhem. Link two enemies together, and both will die if you shoot one, for example. DeadWire promises and explosive, interactive gameplay and has a perfect gimmick to make it possible.
It’s set for release in Q2 2025
The Knightling
Shields are quite useful, but the magical, multi-purpose shield you’ll wield on The Knightling puts them all to shame and will be the only tool and weapon you’ll need while exploring the open world of this fantasy action-adventure game.
The Knightling is scheduled to release on August 28, 2025, and you can try the demo now.
FBC: Firebreak
The upcoming co-operative first-person shooter set in the world of Alan Wake and, especially, Control showed off a new batch of gameplay clips. FBC Firebreak puts you in the unenviable position of trying to get the Oldest House under control after the Hiss incursion, since some remnants are still out there, and weird phenomena to manage are everywhere, including the pesky sticky notes.
FBC: Firebreak is planned for a 2025 launch.
NITRO GEN OMEGA
A tactical RPG about mecha with aesthetics inspired by action anime and turn-based combat bearing some of Persona’s flair in its UI? That’s Nitro Gen Omega, a high-octane, over-the-top RPG with customizable mecha, a world overrun by machines, and crew to bond with.
The Early Access release is planned for this year, demo is available now.
Demon Spore
A lab experiment went out of control, and you (and potentially a crew of three extra people) need to find a way to escape before the monstrosity is purged in fire. Nice Day For Fishing
If you’ve followed Viva La Dirt League’s Epic NPC Man series for any length of time you’ll be familiar with Baelin, a friendly fisher known for only communicating with the phrase “Nice day for fishing, ain’t it? Hu-hah!”. Baelin’s bizarre and oddly adventurous life’s being turned into a fishing-themed video game, and it’s coming this year.
Nice Day For Fishing comes on May 29, 2025, but you can enjoy the demo in the meantime.
Starsand Island
Cozy farming, chill exploration of the open world on foot or thanks to a handy vehicle, romanceable NPCs, and some monster infested ruins to satisfy your lust for gold. Starsand Island tries its hand at a well-populated genre, but it looks quite pleasant and it’s always nice to have a new game ready when you’ve done all you can in the p[previous one.
Starsand Island is planned for a Q4 2025 launch.
Vector Strike
Competitive ball games should have superpowers. Vector Strike is a 4v4 super-handball simulator, with a decent roster of character gifted with various special abilities. It’s not exactly like the Galactik Football animated show, but it’s got the same spirit.

Video Ghastlies

A first-person combat-focused action game from developers who worked on a bunch of great shooters? A dark fantasy setting? Covenant sounds pretty interesting, and mixes both melee and ranged combat, for a healthy dose of gameplay variety.
Release date is unknown, but you can already add it to your wishlist.
Galaxies of riches
That concludes the look at everything shown off during the surprisingly fulfilling showcase. It was quite a lot to get through, but we did it! Now all that’s left it to keep fingers crossed for all the games without release dates announced, so that we can get to enjoy them soon!
