Diablo III’s Necromancer is getting a beta test

You read it right. The upcoming paid DLC character is getting an official tech test.

While we are used to various PTR servers and general testing of upcoming features in Blizzard’s games, this comes as a surprise. You have to be selected to get a chance to test the Necromancer class before it releases as a paid DLC for Diablo III.

There’s no exact date on when the invites will be sent. If you are interested, you should visit your account page and check the box for Diablo beta testing. Fortunately, even if you are not selected, there’s no NDA for this “beta” and we soon should see a lot of gameplay videos.

Oh, and there’s one more thing: the Necromancer’s test will be available only as a closed beta on the PC. No open testing or console invites.
