Activision’s financial briefing is another confirmation that the unannounced game is happening.

Well, Destiny’s sequel is being development – of that we can be sure. It’s planned for 2017 to “broaden the franchise’s global reach, which along with follow-on content plans, sets the stage for growth.”

The wording is interesting here, as the original Destiny is a very popular console title and is noticeably missing from PCs. No confirmation as for now, but it would be natural for Activision to expand the market for this IP.

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg told during financial briefing that Destiny 2 should appeal both to existing hardcore players and casual ones. Less grind, more fun – that’s quite simple solution, I would say.
