The rogue-lite spin-off from the finest co-op shooter about mining is slowly getting ready for prime time, and you’ll be able to test it soon.
Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core is an upcoming co-operative FPS about a crew of space dwarves being sent to investigate why certain mining colonies on Hoxxes have gone dark. Unlike original DRG, however, your crew of Reclaimers will be developing their gear and build on the fly in a rogue-lite manner (so with a measure of persistent progression, as a treat).
The game’s been cooking for a while, and you can now apply for a closed alpha test on Steam.
If you’d like to test your skills and luck in abandoned mineshafts full of terrifying creatures, hop onto DRG: Rogue Core’s Steam page and apply to get access to the upcoming playtest.
The game’s broadly planned for an Early Access release in late 2025, according to the current roadmap.
