Ubisoft keeps the game alive despite all odds.
If you happened to play For Honor, Ubisoft’s version of rock-paper-shotgun by way of SoulCalibur on a console, you were out of luck. When Ubisoft finally caved in to popular demand to give FH proper dedicated servers instead of peer-to-peer connection, it was the PC version that turned out to be at the top of the pecking order. Dedicated PC servers rolled out some time ago, and have worked well since.
Thankfully, today the consoles can have a taste of this unexpectedly luxiourious solution. By the time of publication the servers should be up and running, after a brief maintenance.
For Honor is a rather unique fighting game, and although it has its share of issues, its combat system is worth checking out, especially if you have a good gamepad. Playing with a mouse and keyboard isn’t very comfortable.
