Rejoice, for good news are coming.

Some time ago it’s been announced that Assassin’s Creed: Origins would get a non-combat, and story-free expansion allowing players to just explore without being bothered by nonsense like enemies etc. Well, it’s here, and apparently not only for AC:O owners. How about that.

As it turns out, people who don’t own Origins can still enjoy the educative tour, because it’s been also launched as a standalone for some 20 bucks a pop. Origins owners of course get it free of charge, as a part of the latest update. Isn’t it nice?

The tour is called, somewhat clumsily “Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt”, and features 75 individual focused tours through the existing environments, locations, and monuments. Although one wonders how it will work as a education tool, the appeal of a stressless free roam mode has been long time coming to AC. For once we do get to go sightseeing. Finally.
