Back in September ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) started investigating Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky in response to numerous complaints about features the game failed to deliver. This included UI design, lack of space combat and community features, AI behavior, and more. Recently ASA revealed the statement that after a lengthy and in-depth investigation and consultation with Steam and Hello Games no infraction against advertising code was found. The complaint was not upheld as a result, and the full report is available to everyone interested. It is pleasantly free of legalese, too, so it isn’t hard to understand, even if many players may take issue with ASA’s decision and rationale behind it.
