Bohemia Interactive

This announcement might cause some mixed feelings as far as military simulation enthusiasts are concerned.

On the one hand, they’re getting a new installment of one of the genre’s mightiest franchises. On the other, it’s going to be a very long wait.

The release date was revealed during Bohemia Interactive’s 25th Anniversary Concert via a short teaser with nothing but the camera soaring over a coastline and ocean, with cloudy sky, to boot. Not much of a trailer then, huh?

Arma 4 was unveiled back in 2022. Arma Reforger, which finally left Early Access in 2023, served as a technological middle ground between the installments, as it’s built on Bohemia’s new Enfusion engine. Not much is known about the new game so far, but we can expect it to crank things up to 11 and make even better use of Enfusion.

For now, you can check out Arma Reforger, which already is an amazing game with amazing capabilities, including excellent scenario editors (including a real-time one where you can be the game master!) and multiplayer modes, in addition to a whole slew of single-player missions and challenges.
