With Sekiro the legendary developer behind the Souls series, FromSoftware, and director by Hidetaka Miyazaki himself, take a step back in time to revisit their roots of action-stealth games like the Tenchu series. In Sekiro, a game set in the Sengoku period of Japan, players take on a role of an assassin left for dead, coming back to life to rescue his lord. Armed with a cold steel and an array of gadgets in his prosthetic arm, you have to engage superior enemies and best them through wit, dexterity and sheer effort. Unlike the Souls series Sekiro lacks the RPG elements and opts to tell a very well-defined character-driven story.
