Alec Ryder

Alec Ryder is a character in BioWare’s action RPG, Mass Effect: Andromeda, released in 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Alec is the father of the main character and an initial impetus by which the entire story moves forward. He is a seasoned Pathfinder and the developer of SAM, the AI narrator which will guide you and serve as one of the most important characters in the video game’s story. He was voiced by the renowned actor Clancy Brown, famous for classic roles like Captain Byron Hadley in Shawshank Redemption. His career also includes a host of video game characters, like Lt. Hank Anderson in Qunatic Dreams’ game Detroit: Become Human.
