If you’re wondering whether Assassin’s Creed Shadows will support cross-platform features or not, we’ve got the answer: yes, it will.

It’s a single-player-only game, so no cross-platform multiplayer here, but there’s one thing that gamers are looking forward to: cross-platform save files.

This means that you will be able to continue your progress regardless of the platform you’re playing on. So, let’s say you play the game on PC and halfway through the campaign you switch to Xbox (say, you’re on vacation or something like that). This doesn’t mean you have to beat everything you’ve completed so far once again, you can pick up the story where you left off. Neat, huh?

Speaking of platforms Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available on, you might be disappointed to hear that Ubisoft decided to drop the previous generation of consoles. You know, the game got far too technically advanced for the predecessors of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, so it’s totally understandable. Aside from these two, AC Shadows will be available on PC, Mac, and iPadOS.

By the way, you won’t need internet connection to play the game. Just activate it online once and you’re good to go.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows drops on March 20, 2025.
