It’s been a decade since Warframe came out, and it’s where you can throw yourself into one of these games that are full of action and free of charge. The game is a mix of the role-playing and looter shooter genres, enhanced by the ability to play online.

The plot revolves around the ancient Tenno race, which was plunged into a deep sleep for centuries. When they returned to the world of the living, they found themselves thrust into a war-torn world, facing threats from militarized human clones known as the Grineer; the megacorp Corpus; the grotesque Infested; the Corrupted; and the Sentients, a species of machines capable of self-replication.

But what is your role in this digital universe?

There’s a lot to do and when you are a newbie, you can get lost. The first step is to choose a warframe that will make the gameplay the easiest possible for you and will give you an advantage over other fresh players.

But you’re not here to learn the basics. Let’s get down to the specifics because this is where you’ll find the Warframe tier list. After all, there are a bunch of characters in the game itself, so it would be appropriate to sort them from the best to the most mediocre.

To start with, some important information.

  • Among the characters on the list, you will find those more efficient in resource gathering and farming – an ideal choice for looting.
  • In S-tier and A-tier we have placed those figures whose abilities far prevail over the others, and are the strongest and most capable warriors.
  • In the last two categories are the worst characters in terms of strength, which are better to avoid, especially, if you are new to the game.
  • As we mentioned earlier, there are quite a few options available, so determining their exact number is essential. With over 50 Warframes to choose from, the possibilities are vast.
  • It depends on individual skills and preferences whether a character is effective in the game.

Warframe Tier List

You can claim that there is no sense in dividing warframes into a particular range because their effectiveness depends on a player’s skills. Yes, but some characters have features that are inherently better than others, no matter how much you try to compensate for them by choosing another hero.

The way the warframes are ranked is based on a few factors included in the description of each tier, shall we start?

1. Loot- tier

It might be the most benefit-driven group since Warframe is a looter shooter game, their secret is peak performance. These heroes’ features will be ideal for efficiently farming resources and enhancing the likelihood of enemy loot drops.

  • Hydroid,
  • Khora,
  • Nekros.

2. S-Tier

S like strength. These warframes have no equal in battle. They dominate in terms of powerfulness and capability, offering the highest performance across most types of content, including high-level missions, endgame content, and regular gameplay. Look for them first if you want to have an impressive collection of mighty warriors.

  • Dante,
  • Mesa,
  • Octavia,
  • Saryn,
  • Voidrig,
  • Wisp.

3. A-Tier

Tier A-frames are nearly on par with Tier S. The space warriors are powerful, but something is missing that prevents them from being placed in the higher tier, the truth is that with a slight tweak, they can become S. Warframes in this class might require a bit more strategy or team coordination than Tier S frames but are still highly effective.

  • Baruuk,
  • Citrine,
  • Dagath,
  • Ember,
  • Equinox,
  • Gauss,
  • Garuda,
  • Gyre,
  • Harrow,
  • Hildryn,
  • Ivara,
  • Jade,
  • Khora,
  • Kullervo,
  • Lavos,
  • Mag,
  • Mirage,
  • Nekros,
  • Nezha,
  • Nidus,
  • Nova,
  • Protea,
  • Rhino,
  • Revenant,
  • Sevagoth,
  • Styanax,
  • Titania,
  • Trinity,
  • Volt,
  • Voruna,
  • Wukong,
  • Xaku,
  • Vauban.

4. B-Tier

The warframes in this tier aren’t bad, but this class might be appropriate for them. They offer decent utility but can be overshadowed by higher-tier Warframes in general play. These characters have a solid skill set and are capable of handling different situations or tasks, offering the ideal balance of skill and adaptability.

  • Atlas,
  • Ash,
  • Banshee,
  • Bonewidow,
  • Chroma,
  • Excalibur,
  • Grendel,
  • Limbo,
  • Loki,
  • Oberon,
  • Qorvex,
  • Valkyr,
  • Zephyr.

5. C-Tier

Unfortunately, these characters significantly lag behind the rest. Their skills don’t belong to the best ones and are a little outdated. Besides, their strength leaves much to be desired. Avoid them if you’ve just started your journey in Warframe, but feel free to test your abilities should you seek a challenge.

  • Inaros,
  • Nyx,
  • Yareli.

6. D-Tier

Well, you’ve made it to the very end, where the forgotten characters are placed. The weakest ones and not very useful, and may be harder to use effectively in a variety of situations. Also, they often require significant adjustments to be viable. Each new update somehow excludes them and leaves these heroes behind.

  • Caliban,
  • Frost.

How would you divide them?

Just remember, this tier list is based on the subjective opinions of players, so your ranking might look a bit different. Everyone has their preferences and experiences, and that’s what makes Warframe so fun.

Feel free to share which Warframe you’d rank differently and the reasons behind your choices. It’s always interesting to see how different playstyles and strategies affect opinions on what makes a Warframe truly top-tier!
