The Game Awards 2024 gala ended and left us with a couple of newly announced games.

Here we’ve rounded them all up for your convenience. Take a look at the best upcoming titles revealed during this year’s TGA.

We’ll focus on major announcements here. While some of these games were sort of announced before, this TGA made them “official,” coupled with trailers, sometimes even with gameplay bits.

Alright, let’s dive right in, shall we?

The Witcher 4

Let’s get this over with: this was probably TGA 2024’s biggest reveal – at least definitely one of the biggest.

Not much is known about The Witcher 4 at this point, but the developers have said it’s going to be way bigger than The Witcher 3 or even Cyberpunk 2077.

The cinematic trailer also revealed that we’ll be playing as Ciri this time around, now a full-fledged Witcher. Looks like people don’t really need their services anymore…

Release date? Unknown, but this might take a couple more years. 2026 is probably the earliest safe bet.

Split Fiction

Hazelight Studios’ new opus once again seeks to turn the world of co-op games upside down with its innovative new title.

The game puts you in the shoes of two novelists, one dealing with sci-fi, the other writing fantasy stories.

They end up in simulations of their respective narrative universes and they must work together to get back to reality. Expect plenty of genre-defying stuff and surprises behind every corner.

Split Fiction releases on March 6, 2025.

Thick as Thieves

Warren Spector returns to the stealth genre with new game, which can be described as Thief, but multiplayer.

This means that it’s not just guards that you have to worry about, but other players as well, as they’ll surely want to throw you under the bus just to get away with their loot. The 1910s-style setting also looks fun.

Thick as Thieves is planned for a 2026 release.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Guess what the makers of Uncharted and Crash Bandicoot et al. are working on: a science fiction adventure where you play as a bounty hunter named Jordan A. Mun.

She ends up stranded on a strange planet with no means of escape. That’s not going to stop her from trying to leave, though.

Not much is known about the gameplay, but the developers promise it’s going to be deep, complete with the narrative pulling all the right emotional strings.

The release date is as of yet unknown.

Borderlands 4

You know the drill: you get four new Vault Hunters to play as, but you’re going to be dropped on a different planet.

A bit more technologically advanced, too. Looks like there’s going to be some Star Wars-style podracing, too.

Borderlands 4 is obviously made with co-op in mind, but the single-player mode should be fun, too.

Aaaand it’s coming in 2025.

Turok: Origins

Yup, not another remaster by Nightdive, but an actual new addition to the series. Turok: Origins is a third-person co-op shooter where you can team up with other players to kick some dinosaur butt.

The game looks fun, just in time for Jurassic World Rebirth or something.

No release date here, though.

Elden Ring: Nightreign

Guess what: Elden Ring is getting its own co-op roguelike spin-off. No, it’s not Elden Ring 2, and no, it’s not another action RPG in the vein of the base Elder Ring game, either.

Up to three players can team up for a randomized run ending with a boss of their choice. But first they’ll have to survive for two days in a new version of Limgrave.

Nightreign is coming out in 2025.

Other announced titles

There’s been a massive amount of other announcements made both during the awards gala and the pre-awards show.

Helldivers 2 got a new update: Omens of Tyranny. The Illuminate have returned and you have to defend Super Earth from the onslaught.

Fumito Ueda, the creator of legendary classics like Ico, The Last Guardian, and Shadow of the Colossus, is working on a yet untitled project. Here’s a teaser video:

And then there’s Project Century, a game by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio set in 1915’s Japan. What it’s going to be? Gameplay snippets suggest that it might be an action game as opposed to an RPG:
