Killing Floor 2 it’s a video game that has been popular and well-regarded by players for several years, both on consoles and PC.

This title offers exclusively multiplayer gameplay in a cooperative mode – and wouldn’t it be ideal to play with your friends instead of random people who will end up on the same server?

But what if you bought Killing Floor 2 on PC, and your friends are avid console players?

Or if your version of the game was downloaded via Steam, while your BFF bought it on Epic Games?

Is Killing Floor 2 crossplay, and if so, how do you play crossplatform matches? We’ll answer these and other questions in the following article!

Is KF2 Crossplatform?

The short answer is: yes, but only partially. Unfortunately, crossplatform matches are not possible between PlayStation and Xbox consoles, nor between PC users and console players. However, interestingly, crossplatform play is possible between Steam and Epic Games Store (EGS) users.

To do this, both players need to have accounts on EGS and add each other as friends there. Even if one player’s game is running through Steam, it’s possible to invite them to play together.

How to Play with Friends?

If you’re wondering how to play with several friends on the same platform, the simplest way to do this is by creating a private game. This way, you can invite your friends to play together without the risk of the server adding extra players to your team.

To do this, simply:

  • On the main screen of the game, find the Permissions panel.
  • Click on it, then select the Private: Passworded option.
  • Create a simple password and remember it.
  • Click Create Party.
  • Invite your friends from the friend list and give them the created password.
  • Once the team is ready, everyone just needs to click Play Online Now.

Simple, right? With just a few easy steps, you can assemble a team of your real-life or online friends in minutes and face off against hordes of monsters together.

Crossplatform in the Future

If you’re worried about not being able to play with friends on other platforms, don’t be! The game is incredibly popular, even though it was released almost a decade ago, and it continues to be a hot topic among players worldwide.
