ATLAS

ATLAS is an ambitious MMO game focused on a pirate world. The game was created by co-developers of the famous production known as ARK: Survival Evolved. The developers have given us a chance to experience a life of a sea wolf, looking for exciting adventures, during which we can plunder and compete, or cooperate with other players. What’s important, the pirate game features an incredibly vast world (45 000 of square kilometers), with hundreds of diverse islands, where we can play with up to 40 thousand players from all over the world.

Storyline

During the magical Golden Age, Empires of the Sky lived peacefully next to magical creatures on floating continents powered by a mysterious power source known as the Heart of the Goddess. Unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. Xevos, a powerful warlord wanted to unite all mankind and dominate every other race. The war he triggered resulted in destroying the Heart of the Goddess and the world has changed forever. Many years later, decedents of the protectors of the Heart of the Goddess known as Pathfinders began to travel across the world, exploring new islands and continents, searching for remains of the ancient power.

Gameplay mechanics

During the gameplay, Atlas allows sail through thousands of square kilometers of the world where we can find hundreds of unique islands, full of quests, treasures and dangerous challenges. The game features a complex system of shipbuilding, where we can adjust many different elements of our vessel. Of course, no pirate ship can exist without the crew and Atlas is not an exception. Our crew may consist of both, real players and AI-controlled NPCs.

Atlas video game also allows us to customize the appearance of the protagonist with the help of an advanced character creator. As we progress in the game, we can unlock access to new passive and active abilities and skills. The game features several dozens of diverse skill trees and hundreds of skills. It is worth mentioning an interesting mechanic, which allows us to conquer some areas and then collects taxes which will regularly provide us with a precious currency that can be spent on equipment etc. Even though the game world is huge and it is full of activities, players from the whole community can create custom islands and even whole worlds thanks to incredibly advanced Atlas Dev Kit.
